Apples new iPhone 3GS promises about it’s streamlined connectivity with better network speed, faster processing, inhanced memory , more popular built-in applications and of course, a longer battery life. Lets see how worth it is to have one for you . If you have a look on it, it appears exactly same as its previous version , having the same buttons on it. But the new version has a unique feature of finger print resistant display. In size, it is the same as its previous version .

iPhone 3GS has a new OS which is called iPhone OS3.0. this Os is bundled with many new features, which were not available in it’s  previous version . Messaging text is fun with iPhone 3GS, because it has a QWERTY keyboard in landscape mode. The long awaited cut, copy ,past feature is very simple to use between text. Just by double tapping the selected text, you get the cut ,copy, paste  command menu. Like text messaging, MMS too is very simple in iPhone 3GS. You can very easily send a video file, audio file and still pictures by this phone. iPhone 3GS has a new stereo Bluetooth system which enables one to enjoy music flawlessly.

iPhone 3GS is equipped with a unique feature, which helps you to find your phone, in case you lost it . You can easily locate it in your computer. Though the feature is great but presently, it is available to only a few phone service providers.

iPhone 3GS  provides with a great voice recording feature. There is a unique button on the screen. Just tap it and voice recording is on, even when you are using any other application.

Camera feature is of it’s own kind in iPhone 3GS. The only drawback is that it lacks flash. Focusing is fun in your iPhone 3GS. The object you want to focus on, just tap on it on the screen and the object is clearly focused. The in-door shots are average. Video recordings are good, which can be edited in phone itself.

Another unique feature in iPhone 3GS is that, it has an always available button of compass on the screen. You can directly access the compass by tapping on it’s icon on the home screen. The compass appears just like a magnetic compass pointing to north. The compass is also associated with google map to find you the right direction. Just tap the bull’s eye on the screen and your map is loaded. And again by tapping on the bulls eye on the screen , the maps rotates in the direction you are facing.

Voice control of the phone works well. You don’t have to train your phone to recognize your voice. By voice you can make call as well as can interact with its player and other application.

Visually impaired people can easily navigate through apple voice over feature. To use voice over feature, you need to double tap on the screen and you will get audible instruction. The phone provided with 21 supported language.

iPhone 3GS  supports for nike + ipod. It can be associated with ipod with a sensor, which fits inside nike sports shoes, by which it acts as a pedometer to track your travelling distance and pace.

Certain restrictions are there in iPhone 3GS. You can only transfer media from phone to computer but to transfer media to phone, you have to be dependent on iTune.  iTune imposes certain restrictions on what kind of media to be transferred to phone and where to store.

Battery life is better, as it ran almost for 11hrs talk time. For multimedia, it provided almost 35 hours playback and about 9.7 hrs in video playback. And one good feature it  has, that it displays the battery charge percentage on home screen.
