reinstate OpenDNS Search With Google In Firefox
After reading the complete guide to OpenDNS, I am sure that most of you might have switched to using it as your DNS server.
Opendns is a great service excluding for one issue. By default Firefox’s address bar is connected with Google search and hence you could directly type a query and press enter to get the search results in Google. Now, OpenDNS automatically replaces this with its own search engine. I came to know only when I conducted a search in my Firefox address bar. It is not difficult to get back the Google search.

Here’s the Simple steps to get back you you default search engine back
1. Type about:config in the Firefox address bar and press enter
2. Click on “I’ll be careful, I promise!” button.
3. Type keyword.URL in the filter box. Right click on the result and select “Modify”.

- keyword.url
4. In the box, enter the following value.
http://www.google.com/search?q=

5. Now type your query in the address bar and boom!, you get Google search results.
By this way you can easily replace OpenDNS search with Google. Similarly, you could enter other string value in the box to add a different search engine.
