The source code was released today being Tuesday to the open source community.

The intention of launching this code was to enable developers to start making use of ports for other devices as well as custom firmware for Android 4.0.

The source code can now be downloaded and it includes all the codes for all former releases of the Android.

This development was made public shortly after a rebate with a two-year contract. The sales will commence on the 16^th of November as the device is already being sold for at Amazon for $399.

The tablet which is a product of Samsung possesses a 7 inch multi touch display, 1024 x 6400 pixel screen, accommodates a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a micro SD card slot which can take up to 32 GB memory. The device has a 3.0 mega pixels rear-facing along with a 2 mega pixel front-facing camera.
